Act No. 15, 1919.

An Act to sanction the carrying out of works to extend the schemes of water supply and sewerage for the municipality of Li thgow: to amend the Public Works Act, 1912 ; and for purposes consequent thereon or incidental thereto. [Assented to, 27th November, 1U19.]

by end Willi the advice and consent of the Legis- lative (Yarned and Legislative Assembly of }s e>v South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1 . This Act may he cited as the "Lithgow Water Supply and Sewerage Act, 1919." 2 .

2 . The carrying out of the works more particularly described in the First and Second Schedules to this Act (which said works have been commenced in anticipa- tion of the passing of this Act) is hereby sanctioned, and the said works shall be deemed to be authorised works for the purposes of the Public Works Act, 1912, and the provisions of the said Act, save as provided by this Act, shall apply thereto.

3 . The provisions of sections thirty-four, thirty-five, thirty-six:, and thirty-seven of the Public Works Act,

1912, shall not apply to the said works, but the provisions of section thirty-eight shall apply to any contracts for
carrying out such works.
4 . The plan of the said works is the plan marked "Li thgow Water Supply and Sewerage Amplification
Scheme," signed by the Minister for Public Works and
countersigned by the Chief Engineer for Water Supply and Sewerage, and deposited in the public office of the said Minister.
5 . The cost of carrying out the said works of water supply, estimated at fifty-six thousand four hundred and forty pounds, and the said sewerage works, estimated at seventy-four thousand seven hundred and ten pounds
(exclusive of land resumptions), may be defrayed from
such Loan Votes as are now or may hereafter be applicable to the purpose, or from appropriations of the
Public Works Fund, or partly from such votes and partly
from such appropriations, and shall not, under any
circumstances, exceed the estimated cost by more than
