Liquor Regulations1 (Amendment)

The Australian Capital Territory Executive makes the following Regulations under the Liquor Act 1975.

Commencement

1.  These Regulations commence on the day on which they are notified in the Gazette.

Principal Regulations

2.  In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Liquor Regulations.

Prescribed times for sale or supply of liquor

3.  (1)  Section 3A of the Principal Regulations is amended—

(a)by omitting from subparagraph (3) (a) (i) all the words after “between” (first occurring) and substituting “5 a.m. and 8 a.m. on that day; or”;

(b)by omitting from subparagraph (3) (a) (ii) all the words after “between” (first occurring) and substituting “4 a.m. and 7 a.m. on that day; or”; and

(c)by omitting from paragraph (3) (b) all the words after “between” and substituting “midnight and 8 a.m. and between 11 p.m. and midnight on any day”.

(2)  On 1 January 1998 the Principal Regulations have effect as if regulation 3A had been amended—

(a)by omitting from paragraph (1) (a) “5 a.m.” and substituting “6 a.m.”;

(b)by omitting from paragraph (1) (b) “4 a.m.” and substituting “6 a.m.”;

(c)by omitting from subparagraph (3) (a) (i) “5 a.m.” and substituting “6 a.m.”; and

(d)by omitting from subparagraph (3) (a) (ii) “4 a.m.” and substituting “6 a.m.”.
