Liquor Licensing (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2018
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 .18 June 2018

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Liquor Licensing (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2018 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on 25 June 2018. 3InterpretationIn these regulations – Act means the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 . 4Offences under ActFor the purposes of section 223 of the Act – (a) an offence under a section of the Act specified in column 2 of the table in Schedule 1 is a prescribed offence; and (b) the penalty specified in column 3 of that table in respect of that offence is the prescribed penalty for that offence. 5Offences under Liquor Licensing Regulations 2016For the purposes of section 223 of the Act – (a) an offence under a provision of the Liquor Licensing Regulations 2016 specified in column 2 of the table in Schedule 2 is a prescribed offence; and (b) the penalty specified in column 3 of that table in respect of that offence is the prescribed penalty for that offence. EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation) These regulations –
(a) prescribe offences for which infringement notices may be issued; and (b) prescribe the penalties payable for those infringement notice offences; and (c) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Liquor Licensing (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2008 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992.
