An Act to amend the
This Act may be cited as the
Liquor Licensing (Certificates of Approval) Amendment Act 2007 .
This Act will come into operation on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
In this Act, a provision under a heading referring to the amendment of a specified Act amends the Act so specified.
4—Amendment of section 59—Certificate of approval for proposed premises Section 59(1)—delete subsection (1) and substitute:
(1) The licensing authority may refuse an application for a licence for proposed premises having regard to the extent to which the proposed premises are uncompleted but may, instead, grant a certificate (a
certificate of approval ) approving the plans submitted by the applicant in respect of the proposed premises if satisfied that any approvals, consents or exemptions that are required under the law relating to planning to permit the use of the proposed premises for the sale of liquor have been obtained.
5—Amendment of section 62—Certificate of approval for removal of licence to proposed premises Section 62(1)—delete subsection (1) and substitute:
