it is expedient to con t inue t h e " L iquor Licenses

Suspensory A c t 1 8 8 0 " for a fur ther t e r m of Twelve ca lendar

re la t ing to removals of licenses to Publ ic-houses wi th in t h e Coun ty of Cumber land Be i t therefore enac ted b y t h e Queen ' s Most Exce l l en t Majes ty by and wi th t h e advice and consent of t h e Legislat ive Counci l and Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by t h e au thor i ty of t he same as follows :—

1. The Ac t for ty-four th Victor ia n u m b e r seventeen (beiog t h e

" L iquor Licenses Suspensory A c t 1880") shall from and after t he day of t he expirat ion of t he said A c t con t inue and be in force w i th in t h e boundar ies of the County of Cumber l and for a fur ther period of Twelve calendar mon ths .

2. After t he pass ing of th is A c t i t shal l no t be lawful for a n y

Jus t i ces to g ran t a certificate unde r t he twen ty - seven th section of t h e " S a l e of L iquors Licens ing Ac t of 1862" (commonly k n o w n as a certificate of removal) au thor iz ing the person there in n a m e d to sign a m e m o r a n d u m endorsed u p o n or affixed to any license by v i r tue whereof such license shall be m a d e to app ly to t he house and premises ment ioned in such certificate and cease to apply to t he house and premises for which the same was originally g ran ted in any case in which—

(1.) The house a n d premises to which the license is desired to be

removed and to app ly are w i t h i n t he boundar ies of t h e County

of Cumber l and b u t are not wi th in t he boundar ies of t h e

P e t t y Sessions Dis t r ic t of t he cour t to which the appl ica t ion

for such removal is m a d e

(2.) The Cour t -house to t he Jus t i ces assembled a t which or t h e

P e t t y Sessions to which an applicat ion for such certificate of

removal is made is outside t h e boundaries of t h e said County and the house a n d premises for which t h e remova l of t h e license is sought ase wi th in such boundar ies

(3.) A n y such certificate if acted upon by t h e authori t ies ment ioned in t h e said twenty-seven th section would have t h e effect of m a k i n g a l icense for a house and premises outside t h e bound­ aries of t he City of Sydney apply to a house and premises wi th in t h e boundar ies of t he said ci ty or of m a k i n g a license for a house and promises wi th in t h e boundar ies of t he said ci ty app ly to a house and premises outside t h e said boundar ies

T h e provisions of this .sect ion shall t ake effect upon the passing of th i s A c t b u t shall n o t have operation beyond the t ime hereby l imi ted for

t h e cont inua t ion of t he " L iquor Licenses Suspensory A c t 1880 ."

3. This A c t may be ci ted for all purposes as t he " L i q u o r
