Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Liquor Act 2007.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to prescribe periods on certain dates on which special sporting events will be held as extended trading periods during which hotels and clubs are permitted to trade.

This Regulation is made under the Liquor Act 2007, including section 13.

Liquor Amendment (Special Events—Extended Trading

Periods) Regulation 2010

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Liquor Amendment (Special Events—Extended
Trading Periods) Regulation 2010.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Liquor Regulation 2008

The Liquor Regulation 2008 is amended by omitting clause 38A and by inserting instead the following clause:

38A Special events extended trading periods for hotels and
clubs

For the purposes of section 13 of the Act, the following periods are prescribed as periods during which liquor may be sold or supplied for consumption on the premises to which a hotel licence or club licence relates:

(a) the period of 2 hours from 10 pm until midnight on the following days:
(i) Sunday 31 January 2010,
(ii) Sunday 3 October 2010,
(b) the period of 30 minutes from 10 pm until 10.30 pm on Sunday 7 February 2010.
