AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Liquor Ordinance 1975

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Adminis­ tration) Act 1910.

LIQUOR (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE (No. 2) 1977

1 . This Ordinance may be cited as the Liquor (Amendment)

Ordinance (No. 2) 1977.*

2 . The Liquor (Amendment) Ordinance 1977f is repealed.

3 . The Liquor Ordinance 1975 is amended as set out in the follow­

ing table:

4 . (1) Notwithstanding the amendments effected by section 3, the

Liquor Ordinance 1975, as in force immediately before the commence­ ment of the Liquor (Amendment) Ordinance 1977, continues to apply to, and in relation t o—

(a) the University;

(b) the Canberra College of Advanced Education; and

(c) the Canberra Theatre Trust,
until the expiration of 31 December 1977.

(2 ) Notwithstanding the amendments effected by section 3, the fee payable for the renewal of a licence expiring on or before 31 December 1977 is the fee that would have been payable under the Liquor Ordi­ nance 1975, as in force immediately before the commencement of the

Liquor (Amendment) Ordinance 1977.

(3) Notwithstanding the amendments effected by section 3, the fee payable by a person where a licence ceases to be in force on or before 31 December 1977 is the fee that would have been payable under the Liquor Ordinance 1975, as in force immediately before the com­

mencement of the Liquor (Amendment) Ordinance 1977.

(4) An expression used in this section has the same meaning as in the Liquor Ordinance 1975, as amended by this Ordinance.
