Liquor Act of 1886 Amendment Act of 1904 (4 Edw VII No. 5)
LANDS-LIQUOR. 8727 4 EDW. VII. No. 5, 1904. Liquor Act of 1886 Arnendment. -therein open for selection as Agricultural Homesteads need not also declare such lands" are inserted in lieu thereof. After the thied paragraph of the said subsection, the following paragraph is inserted :- " No _I\.gricultural Farm to be selected under the pro- visions of this Act shall exceed six hundred and forty acees." The following words are added to subsection two of the said section :-" or two or more Farms under the pro- visions of this Act the aggregate area of which is greater than six hundred and forty acres." In subsection three of the said section, the word " Homesteads" is repealed, and the word "Selections" is inserted in lieu thereof; and the word "Homestead" wherever it occurs is repealed, and the word "Selection" is inserted in lieu thereof. In subsection four of the said section, the word "Homestead" wherflver it occurs is repealed, and the word "Selection" is inserted in lieu thereof. In the said subsection, the words" one hundred and thirty-eight" are repealed, and the words "one hundred and thirty-four or one hundred and thirty-eight, as the case may be," are inserted in lieu thereof. Amendment of 50 Vie. 2. In the second paragraph of section seven of the No. 30, s. 7. Principal Act the words " shall register" are repealed, and the words "shall, unless the Home Secretary otherwise directs, register" are inserted in lieu thereof. In the third paragraph of the said section the words " shall be so renewed" are repealed, and the words " shall, unless the Home Secretary otherwise directs, be renewed" are inserted in lieu thereof. The following provision is added to the said section : - " Every application for such registration or renewal of registration shall be referred by the clerk of petty' sessions to the Home Secretary, who may, in his discretion, direct that such registration or renewal shall be refused." 4EJ:'·1x,n.
