Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the .Liquor Act Amendment Act 1976. (2) In this Act the Liquor Act1912-1975 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may he cited as the Liquor Act19122-1976.
842 Liquor Act Amendment Act 1976, No. 67 2. Commencement of Act. This Act shall commence and shall be taken to have commenced on 1 November 1976. 3. Amendment of s. 18. Section 18 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (1), (i) omitting from paragraph (1) the word " seven " and substituting the word " eight "; (ii) omitting from paragraph (ii) the expression " 15 " and substituting the expression " 12 "; (iii) omitting from paragraph (iia) the word " nine " and ssuubbssttituting the word " eight "; (iv) omitting from paragraph (iii) the word " seven " and substituting the word " eight"; (v) omitting from each of paragraphs (v) to (xi), both inclusive, the word " seven " and substituting in each case the word " eight "; (vi) omitting from paragraph (xii) the words " such percentage not less than nine per centum as the Commission determines " and substituting the words " eight per centum "; (vii) omitting from each of paragraphs (xiv) and (xv) the word " seven " and substituting in each case the word " eight "; (b) in subsection (2), omitting the expression " 15 " and substituting the expression " 12 ". 4. Repeal of and new s. 18A. The Principal Act is amended by repealing section 18A and substituting the following section.- 18A. Transitional provisions concerning fees . Notwithstanding the provisions of section 18- (a) the fees which shall be charged, levied, collected and paid for every license referred to in paragraph (i), (iii), (v), (vi), (vii), (viii), (ix), (x), .(xi), (xiv) or (xv) of section 18 (1) for the year commencing on 1 July 1976 shall be the sum of- (i) an amount equal to seven per centum of one-third part of the gross amount referred to in such one of the aforesaid paragraphs as refers to the license in question; and (ii) an amount equal to eight per centum of two-thirds part of the gross amount referred to in such one of the aforesaid paragraphs as refers to the license in question; (b) the fees which shall be charged, levied, collected and paid for every license referred to in paragraph (ii) of section 18 (1) shall be- (i) for the year commencing on I July 1976, $400 and in addition the sum of- A. an amount equal to six per centum of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph paid or payable in respect of liquor sold or otherwise disposed of as provided by that paragraph during the period 1 July 1975 to 31 October 1975; and
Liquor Act Amerulment Act 1976, .' o. 67 ,{-t ; B. an amount equal to 15 per centum of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph paid or payable in respect of liquor sold or otherwise disposed of as provided by that paragraph during the period 1 November 1975 to 30 June 1976; (ii) for the year commencing on t July 1977. S400 and in addition the sum of- A. an amount equal to 15 per centum of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph paid or payable in respect of liquor sold or otherwise disposed of as provided by that paragraph during the period I July 1976 to 31 October 1976; and B. an amount equal to 12 per centum of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph paid or payable in respect of liquor sold or otherwise disposed of as prescribed by that paragraph during the period 1 November 1976 to 30 June 1977; (c) the fees which shall be charged, levied, collected and paid for every license referred to in paragraph (iia) of section 18 (I) for the year commencing on 1 July 1976 shall be the sum of- (i) an amount equal to nine per centum of one-third part of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph, and (ii) an amount equal to eight per centum of two-thirds part of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph; (d) the fees which shall be charged , levied, collected and paid for every license referred to in paragraph (xii) of section 18 (I) for the year commencing on I July 1976 shall be the sum of- (1) an amount calculated as respects one-third part of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph at such rate per centum determined by the Commission as applicable to the license in question having regard to the commencement of the Liquor Act AmendmentAct1975; and (ii) an amount equal to eight per centum of two-thirds part of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph; (e) the fees which shall be charged , levied, collected and paid for every license referred to in paragraph (xiii) of section 18 (1) for the year commencing on I July 1976 shall be the sum of S20 and in addition the sum of- (i) an amount equal to six per centum of one-third part of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph; and (ii) an amount equal to nine per centum of two-thirds part of the gross amount referred to in that paragraph; (f) the fees which shall be . charged and levied against, collected from and paid by a registered brewer pursuant to subsection (2) of section 18 shall be- (i) for the year commencing on I July 1976, the sum of- A. an amount equal to six per centum of the gross amount referred to in that subsection paid or payable in respect of liquor sold or otherwise

Liquor Act Amendment Act 1976, No. 67 disposed of as provided by that subsection during the period I July 1975 to 31 October 1975; and B. an amount equal to 15 per centum of the gross amount referred. to in that subsection paid or payable in respect of liquor sold or otherwise disposed of as provided by that subsection during the period 1 November 1975 to 30 June 1976; .(ii) for the year commencing on 1 July 1977 a sum of- A. an amount equal to 15 per centum of the gross amount referred to in that subsection paid or payable in respect of liquor sold or otherwise disposed of as provided by that subsection during the period I July 197 . 6 to 31 October 1976; and B. an amount equal to 12 per centum of the gross amount referred to in that subsection paid or payable in respect of liquor sold or otherwise disposed of as. provided by that subsection during the period 1 November 1976 to 30 June 1977.".
