AN ACT to amend the Light and Air Aet, 1902.

B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byCouncil and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:-

1.

This Act may be cited as the Light and Air Act Amend-

ment Act, 1922, and shall be read as one with the Light and

Air Act, 1902, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

The second proviso to, section two of the principal Act is hereby amended by omitting the words "and no longer," in paragraph (h), and inserting in place thereof the follow-

ing words:—"or, with the approval in writing of the Gover- nor (but not otherwise), for a term exceeding twenty-one years"; and a paragraph is added to the said section, as fol- lows :-

But no such grant shall have effect or be enforced so as to prevent the erection of any building on the align- ment of a street to a depth of twelve feet.

3. All copies of the principal Act to be printed hereafter

by the Government Printer shall be printed as amended by

this Act, under the supervision of the Clerk of Parliaments.
