Life Insurance Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and under section 4 of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901, make the following Regulations under the Life Insurance Act 1995.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on the date of commencement of the Retirement Savings Accounts Act 1997.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Life Insurance Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 13.02 (Definition of “superannuation policy”—dictionary)

3.1   Regulation 13.02:

Add at the end:

• “; (c)

  an RSA (within the meaning of the Retirement Savings Accounts Act 1997).”.
