W H E R E A S, by an Act passed in this present Session of the Premble.

itppopriation of the Revenue for the Year one thousand eight Eluiltfred and fifty-thrcc, and for the general appropriation of the Hevenue for the year one tlionsand eight hundred and fiftyfour," provision has been made for the issue and application, out of the General Public Kcvenucs of the Province of Soutli Australia, of'

the several sums of money therein specified: And whereas it is

considered expedient to provide for an addition to the salary of the Governor for the pears one thousaud eight hundred and fifty-three and one tllouxnnd eight hundred and fifty-four-Re it therefore Enacted, by tlie Lieuten:rnt-Governor of South Australia, wittll the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof;

times and in such portions as the Governor shall, by any orders

in writing, ~igned by him, from time to time direct; and the said Treasurer shall in his accounts be allowed credit for all sums paid by him in pursuance of such orders accordingly, and the receipt of the Governor shall be a full discharge to the aaid Treasurer for the sums for which tbe sathe receipts shall have been respectively given, and the amounts thereof shall be passed to his credit in account accordingly.
