AN ACT to amend the Licensing Act, 1911-1946.
[Assented to 18th November, 1948.]
BE it enacted by the Xing's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title. 1. This Act may be cited as the Licensing Act Amend- ment Act, 1948, and shall be read as one with the Licens- ing Act, 1911-1946 (Act No. 32 of 1911, as reprinted with amendments up to and including Act No. 35 of 1923 incorporated in the appendix to the Sessional Volume of

the Statutes for the year 1928 and further amended by Acts Nos. 27 of 1.928, 41 of 1928, 23 of 1929, 30 of 1930, 27 of 1931, 36 of 1931, 49 of 1931, 35 of 1934, 34 of 1939, 35 of 1944, 43 of 1946 and 47 of 1947), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

| Section one hundred and thirty a of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word "race" in line nine the words "and that this section shall not apply to | s. /30s. |

| (1) | any person of the Asiatic race who is a natural born British subject and whose domicil is in the State on the day of the commencement of the Licensing Act Amendment Act, 1948, nor |
| (2) | to any descendant of any person referred to in the next preceding paragraph if the domicil of the descendant is in the State". |
