AN ACT to continue the operation of Part V. of the Licensing Act, 1911, and to amend sections seventy- three and ninety-seven.

E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by

and with the advice and consent of the Legislative

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

1. This Act may be cited as the Licensing Act Amend- Short.

went Act, 1928, and shall be read as one with the Licensing Act, 1911, as reprinted in the appendix to the volume of Statutes passed in the second session of the eleventh Par- liament (1922-1923), and hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

(1.) Part V. of the principal Act shall continue

operation until the 31st day of December, 1930:

Provided that the fees payable by licensees under section ninety-seven as contribution to the Compensation Fund shall not be payable on returns furnished by licensees under see• tion seventy-three due on or after the 31st day of December, 1928.

(2.) Section seventy-three of the principal Act is Amendment of 2.73

amended by substituting for the words "five pounds per centum" in subsection (1) thereof the words "six pounds per centurn."
