Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the

said Province, in this present Parliament, nssernbled, as follo~vs

:

1863," are hexeby repealed, exccpt as to anything done or com- No. 9 of 1863.

1. Section., 10 and 7'3 of the said " Licensed Victuallers Act, Repenl of part of A C ~

shall be punished in the same manner as if this Act had not been passed, and licences issued under the authority of the " Licensed Victuallers Act, 1863," and not cxpired at thc time this Act shall come into operation, shall confer the same rights and privileges as

if granted after the coming into operation of this Act.

2. Every wine licence granted under the authority of the Wine Licence+

"Licensed Victuallers L4ct, 1863," after this Act shall come into operation, shall authorize the person thereby licensed to sell by retail

in the house or shop, or on the premises therein specified, mead,

wine, cider, and perry, in quantities of not less than one pint: Pro-

vided, that no part thereof shall be cor~sumed

on the premises.

3. Nothing contained in the

Licensed Victuallers Act, 1863,'' ~

shall be construed to apply to the sale of ginger beer, or spruce ofisea.

the delivery after sale by himself or his servants, of wine of his own manufacture, from fruit grown in the said Province, in quantities of ~ o t less than one gallon, to be dclivcrcd at one and the same time, nor to any person sclling spirituous or distiUcd perfume, h o n c v c i e as pcrfumcry, and not to any known and practising apothecaries, physici:~ns, surgeons, chemists, or druggists, prescribing, or n.rlminister- ing any liquor simply as nleilicine, or for medicinal purposes.

Comrncncement of

Act.

4. This Act shall comc into opwation on the first ilq of Dcccmber,

1864, and map be cited as the

JJicensed Victrrallers Amendment

Act, 1864.
