AN ACT to provide for the Licensing of Land

HEREAS it is desirable to regulate, in certain respects, Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

7.     EVERY Surveyor appointed under this Act shall receive a

ANY person who shall wilfully and falsely pretend to be

licensed under this Act, or who shall take or use the name or title of

licensed Surveyor, or any name, title, addition, or description implying that he is licensed under this Act, shall, upon summary conviction before one or more Justices of the Peace in Petty Sessions. pay a scan not exceeding One hundred pounds.

13.      THE said Board shall once at least in every year cause to be

licensed under this Act, with the respective residences of such

persons as far as known to the Board.

14.      A LICENSE granted under the provisions of this Act shall

not entitle the holder thereof to practise as a Surveyor under "The

Transfer of Land Act, 1874."

15.      THIS Act may be cited for all purposes as " The Licensed short nre

surveyors Act, 1886."

B., do solemnly and sincerely declare that I will, to the best of my ability and without partiality, favor, or affection, correctly survey and delineate the boundaries of such lands as may be entrusted to me to be surveyed, and in accordance with such Rules and Regulations as shall be prescribed by the Surveyor General with the approval of the Governor where the same apply, and I male this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Ordinance made and passed in the eighteenth year of the reign of Her present Majesty, No. 12, mtituled " An Ordinance for the Abolition of unnecessary Oaths, and to substitute Declarations in lieu thereof."
