W H E R E A S an A c t of H i s Exce l l ency t h e Governor of N e w South W a l e s wi th t h e advice of t h e Legis la t ive Council thereof was
made a n d passed in t h e second year of t he re ign of H e r present Majesty
Queen Victor ia in t i tu led " An Act for consolidating and amending the
" Laics relating to the licensing of Public-houses and for further
" regulating the sale and consumption of fermented and spirituous

" Liquors in New South Wales" and whereas by the said reci ted Act any grower or m a k e r of wines from grapes t h e p roduce of t h e said Colony or i t s Dependencies who should dispose of t h e same in any q u a n t i t y less t h a n t e n gal lons was and is excepted from t h e operat ion thereof and whereas it is expedient t h a t such except ion should be rendered more extensive Be i t therefore enacted by H i s Exce l lency

t h e Governor of N e w South W a l e s w i t h t he advice a n d consent of t h e
Legis la t ive Counci l thereof Tha t from a n d after t h e pass ing of th is

Ac t n o t h i n g in t h e said reci ted A c t conta ined shal l be cons t rued to p reven t any grower or m a k e r of wines from grapes t h e p roduce of t he said Colony or i ts Dependencies from disposing of t h e same in any quan t i t y no t less t h a n t w o gal lons no r shal l any such grower or m a k e r of wines be the reby disqualified from ac t ing as a Jus t i ce of t he Peace unde r t he provisions of t h e said reci ted A c t a n y t h i n g in t he
