LIBRARY (AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 12, 1959.

An Act to increase the subsidy payable to councils under section thirteen of the Library Act, 1939- 1952; for this purpose to amend the said Act; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 1st October, 1959.]

BE	it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as
follows : —

1.      (1) This Act may be cited as the "Library (Amend­

ment) Act, 1959".

(2) The Library Act, 1939, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Library Act, 1939- 1959.

(3) This Act shall be deemed to have commenced upon, the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifty- nine.

2. The Library Act, 1939-1952, is amended by omitting from paragraph (b) of subsection four of section thirteen the words "one shilling and sixpence" and by inserting in lieu thereof the words "three shillings". REORGANISED
