Regulation 1997

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Library Act 1939.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to prescribe the amount used in a formula to calculate the yearly subsidy payable to certain councils in respect of library services and related facilities provided by those councils.

This Regulation is made under the Library Act 1939, including section 13.

Renumber the clauses as clauses 22 and 23 respectively.

Insert before clause 22 (as renumbered by item [l]):

21 Prescribed amount for subsidy: sec. 13

For the purposes of section 13 (4) (b) of the Act, the prescribed amount in respect of the year ending 30 June 1998, and every subsequent year commencing 1 July, is $1.85.
