MR D. GRAHAM, QC, Solicitor-General for the State of Victoria: May it please the Court, I appear with my learned friend, MS P.M. TATE, for the defendants who are the applicants before your Honour this morning. (instructed by the Victorian Government Solicitor)
MS J. GODTSCHALK: May it please the Court, I appear for the respondent plaintiff. (instructed by Garland Hawthorn Brahe)
MR GRAHAM: Your Honour, counsel for the plaintiff and the defendants have agreed upon a time table which I think has been provided to the Registrar relating to the exchange and filing of outlines of argument. A technique was adopted which will, we believe, work and come into effect once the case is given an allocation to the sittings of a particular month next year.
HIS HONOUR: Yes, you are in agreement with this, Miss Godtschalk?
MS GODTSCHALK: Yes, your Honour.
HIS HONOUR: You are appearing for all defendants, Mr Solicitor?
MR GRAHAM: Yes, I am, your Honour.
HIS HONOUR: Well, it is a matter of order as per draft initialled by me, is that so?
MR GRAHAM: That is so, your Honour, as long as it suits the convenience of the Court.
HIS HONOUR: Yes, well that seems to be quite satisfactory.
MR GRAHAM: Thank you, your Honour.
HIS HONOUR: There will be an order accordingly.
MR GRAHAM: If the Court pleases.
