No. 45 of 1946.

AN ACT to enlarge the definition of "Qualified Member of the Forces" in the Legislative Council (War Time) Electoral Act, 1943; to repeal section sixteen, and to continue the operation of the said Act.

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1.   This Act may be cited as the Legislative Council Short title.

(War Time) Electoral Act, Amendment Act, 1946, and shall be read as one with the Legislative Council (War Time) Electoral Act, 1943 (Act No. 35 of 1943 as amended by Act No. 32 of 1945), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

The definition of "Qualified member of the Forces" in section three of the principal Act is amended by inserting after the words "but within" in the fourth line, the words "Japan, Borneo or."

Section sixteen of the principal Act is repealed.

Section twenty-three of the principal Act is amended by deleting the word "forty-six" in the third
