An Act to amend the Legislative Assembly Precincts Act 2001

Notified under the Legislation Act 2001 on 20 December 2002


(see Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

  1. Name of Act

    This Act is the Legislative Assembly Precincts Amendment Act 2002.

  2. Commencement

    This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Act amended

    This Act amends the Legislative Assembly Precincts Act 2001.

  4. Removal of people
    New section 9 (5)

    insert

  5. The Speaker may delegate the Speaker’s functions under this section to—

    (a)the sergeant-at-arms for the Assembly; or

    (b)the principal attendant for the Assembly.
