Legislation Amendment Regulations 2024

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Legislation Amendment Regulations 2024.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

• (a)

  regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

• (b)

  the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Legislation Regulations 2023.

4.Regulation 3 amended

• (1)

  Delete regulation 3(e)(iii).

• (2)

  In regulation 3(h) delete “section 20” and insert:

   

section 20, 171ZC

5.Regulation 5 amended

• (1)

  Delete regulation 5(d) and insert:

   
  • (d)

    each proclamation that —

    • (i)

      is made under an Act (an application Act) that applies a law, or particular text, enacted in another jurisdiction as a law of the State; and

    • (ii)

      declares that an Act of that other jurisdiction has effect for the purposes of the application Act;

       
• (2)

  At the end of regulation 5 insert:
