1  Name

This instrument is the Legislation (ACT Self-Government Instruments) Sunset-altering Declaration 2017.

2  Commencement

(1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3  Authority

This instrument is made under subsection 51A(1) of the Legislation Act 2003.

4  Repeal of ACT self‑government instruments to facilitate review etc.

(1) The following instruments are repealed by subsection 51A(1) of the Legislation Act 2003 on 1 April 2020:

(a) the A.C.T. Self‑Government (Consequential Provisions) Regulations;

(b) the Australian Capital Territory (Planning and Land Management) Regulations;

(c)  the Australian Capital Territory (Self‑Government) Regulations 1989;

(d)  the National Land Ordinance 1989 (ACT);

(e)  the National Memorials Ordinance 1928 (ACT);

(f)  the Reserved Laws (Administration) Ordinance 1989 (ACT);

(g)  the Reserved Laws (Interpretation) Ordinance 1989 (ACT);

(h) the Seat of Government (Administration) Regulations.

(2)  Those instruments:

(a) would, apart from this instrument, be repealed by section 50 of the Legislation Act 2003; and

(b)  are or will be the subject of a single review.

(3)  The making of this instrument will facilitate the undertaking of the review of those instruments and the implementation of its findings.

5  Repeal of this instrument

This instrument is repealed at the start of 2 April 2020.
