1      Name of Rule

This Rule is the Legal Profession Uniform Admission Amendment (Qualifications and Supervision) Rule 2016.

2      Commencement

This Rule commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3      Authorising provision

This Rule is made by the Legal Services Council under Part 9.2 of the Legal
Profession Uniform Law.

4 Amendment of Legal Profession Uniform Admission Rules 2015

(1) Rule 11 Directions about qualifications

Omit “completed” from rule 11 (1). Insert instead “wholly or partially completed”.

(2) Rule 11 (3) (a)
Omit “completed”. Insert instead “wholly or partially completed”.
(3) Schedule 3, clause 8 Leave of absence
Omit “employee” from clause 8 (3). Insert instead “employer”.
