His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following

Regulation under the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Regulation 2015 as follows:

(a) to increase (from $920.25 to $950) the fee that is payable under the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014 for admission to the Australian legal profession in New South Wales,
(b) to increase (from $520.25 to $550) the portion of that fee that is to be allocated to the NSW Admission Board.

This Regulation is made under the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Act 2014, including section 166 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Amendment (Fees)
Regulation 2017.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 2017 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Regulation 2015

(1) Clause 63 Admission fees—section 166 (2) of the application Act

Omit “$920.25” wherever occurring in clause 63 (1) and (2). Insert instead “$950”.

(2) Clause 63 (2) (a)
Omit “$520.25”. Insert instead “$550”.
