Legal Profession Revocation Regulations 2015

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to revoke Regulations made under the Legal Profession Act 2004.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 7.2.17 of the Legal Profession Act 2004.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 July 2015.

4Legal Profession Regulations 2005

The Legal Profession Regulations 2005[1] are revoked.

5Amending Regulations revoked

(1)The Legal Profession (Amendment) Regulations 2007[2] are revoked.

(2)The Legal Profession (Further Amendment) Regulations 2007[3] are revoked.

The Legal Profession Revocation Regulations 2015, S.R. No. 51/2015 were made on 16 June 2015 by the Administrator of the State of Victoria, as the Governor's deputy, with the advice of the Executive Council under section 7.2.17 of the Legal Profession Act 2004, No. 99/2004 and came into operation on 1 July 2015: regulation 3.

The Legal Profession Revocation Regulations 2015 will sunset 10 years after the day of making on 16 June 2025 (see section 5 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994).

There are no amendments made to the Legal Profession Revocation Regulations 2015 by statutory rules, subordinate instruments and Acts.
