1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Legal Profession Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2016 .

2   Commencement

Sections 5 and 6 commence on 1 January 2017.

3   Regulation amended

This regulation amends the Legal Profession Regulation 2007.

4   Amendment of s 65 (Appointment and qualifications of external examiner

Section 65(c), ‘The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia’—
omit, insert—

Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand

5   Omission of pt 3.3, div 2 (Prescribed accounts)

Part 3.3, division 2—
omit.

6   Amendment of sch 2 (Dictionary)

Schedule 2, definitions combined balance, prescribed account balance and trust account balance—
omit.
