LEGAL PROFESSION AMENDMENT (NATIONAL PRACTISING CERTIFICATES) ACT 1996 No 113—

PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) G. SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels, AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Legal Profession Amendment (National Practising Certificates) Act 1996, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 April 1997 as the day on which that Act (Schedule 1 excepted) commences.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to commence provisions of the Legal Profession Amendment (National Practising Certificates) Act I996 containing miscellaneous amendments to the Legal Profession Act 1987. The proclamation does not commence the amendments relating to the national practising certificates scheme.

This proclamation is made under section 2 of the Act.
