No 53—Proclamation

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Legal Profession Amendment (Disciplinary Provisions) Act 2001, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 27 July 2001 as the day on which that Act (except Schedule 1 [17] and [18] and Schedule 2.1) commences.

Explanatory note

The object of this proclamation is to commence all of the provisions of the Legal Profession Amendment (Disciplinary Provisions) Act 2001, except those provisions that deal with changes to the constitution of the Administrative Decisions Tribunal in certain proceedings under the Legal Profession Act 1987 and to the procedure for appeals from certain decisions of the Tribunal under that Act.
