Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Legal Profession Act 1987.

Explanatory note
The Workers Compensation (General) Regulation 1995 prohibits certain advertising by lawyers and other persons with respect to workers compensation claims. Clause 69A of the Legal Profession Regulation 1994 requires advertising by barristers and solicitors to comply with those provisions of the Workers Compensation (General) Regulation 1995.
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Legal Profession Regulation 1994 so as to reflect changes to the Workers Compensation (General) Regulation 1995. This Regulation is made under the Legal Profession Act 1987, including section 216 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Legal Profession Amendment (Advertising)
Regulation 2001.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 26 May 2001.
3 Amendment of Legal Profession Regulation 1994
The Legal Profession Regulation 1994 is amended as set out in
Schedule 1.
