Part 1—Preliminary

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Legal Practitioners (Fees) Variation Regulations 2011.

2—Commencement

These regulations come into operation on the day on which they are made.

3—Variation provisions

In these regulations, a provision under a heading referring to the variation of specified regulations varies the regulations so specified.

4—Substitution of Schedule 2

Schedule 2—delete the Schedule and substitute:

Schedule 2—Fees

1	For the issue or renewal of a practising certificate—
(a)    for more than 6 months	$361.00 fee $163.00 levy
(b)    for 6 months or less	$211.00 fee $82.00 levy
2	Fee to accompany written notice provided under section 23D of the Act	$30.00
3	Fee to accompany an annual return lodged under section 24 of the Act	$49.50

Note—

As required by section 10AA(2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1978, the Minister has certified that, in the Minister's opinion, it is necessary or appropriate that these regulations come into operation as set out in these regulations.
