AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1970

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

LEGAL PRACTITIONERS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE

(No. 3) 1977

1 . This Ordinance may be cited as the Legal Practitioners (Amend­

ment) Ordinance (No. 3) 1977.*

2 . In this Ordinance, " Principal Ordinance " means the Legal Prac­ titioners Ordinance 1970.J

3 . Section 6L of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting " 1 December 1977 " and substituting " 1 March 1978 ".

4 . Section 5 of the Legal Practitioners (Amendment) Ordinance

(No. 2) 1977 is repealed.

5 . On and after 1 March 1978, the Interpretation Ordinance 1967 has effect in relation to the provisions of Part ID of the Principal Ordi­ nance, as amended by this Ordinance, as if those provisions had been repealed on that day by an Ordinance.
