An Ordinance to amend the Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1970
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Legal Practitioners (Amend
ment) Ordinance (No.2) 1979.'
2. In this Ordinance, "Principal Ordinance" means the Legal
Practitioners Ordinance 1970.2
3. Section 10 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by inserting
after paragraph (1) (aa) the following paragraph:
Macquarie University; or" .
| " ( a b ) | he has been admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Legal Studies at The Macquarie University;". |
4. Section 16 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting
paragraph (4) (a ) and substituting the following paragraphs:
" ( a ) the applicant has the educational qualifications specified in sub-section 10(1) for admission as a barrister and solicitor of the Court;
| (aa) | the applicant has become eligible for admission to— |
(i) the degree of Bachelor of Laws at an Australian uni versity; or
(ii) the degree of Bachelor of Legal Studies at The
