AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1970-1975, and for

other purposes.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910-1973.

LEGAL PRACTITIONERS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1976

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Legal Practitioners

(Amendment) Ordinance 1976.*
(2) The Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1970-1975,f as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Legal Practitioners Ordinance
1970-1976.

2. Section 6L of the Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1970-1975 is amended by omitting the word and figures " 1 July 1 9 7 6 " and sub­ stituting the word and figures " 1 January 1977 ".

3 . Section 4 of the Legal Practitioners Ordinance (No. 4) 1975

is repealed.

4. On and after 1 January 1977, the Interpretation Ordinance

1967-1975 has effect in relation to the provisions of Part ID of the Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1970-1975, as amended by this Ordinance, as if those provisions had been repealed on that day by an Ordinance.
