LEGAL PRAC- TITIONERS 1881 to 1946," in certain particulars. ACTS AMENDMENT ACT OF 1947. [ASSENTED TO 24TH NOVEMBER, 1947.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative.Assemblyof Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- Short title 1. This Act may be cited as " The Legal Practitioners and . Acts Amendment Act of 1947," and shall be read as one constructIOn. with *" The Legal Practitioners Acts, 1881 to 1946," herein referred to as the Principal Act. Collective The Principal Act and this Act may collectively be title. cited as " The Legal Practitioners Acts, 1881 to 1947." Amendment 2. The following paragraph is added to subsection ~ g. ~ o. VI. five of section nine of t" The Legal Practitioners Act No. 20. Amendment Act of 1938," namely : - "Moreover in determining any period for which any person has served as prescribed by this section, the period, if any, of his service with the Naval, Military, or Air Forces of the Commonwealth (or, in the case of a female, of her service in any capacity with or with any service forming part of the said Forces, including service as medical practitioner or nurse or masseuse or otherwise) during any war in which His Majesty was or may be engaged on or after the third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-nine, shall count if such person was or shall be serving as prescribed by this section when he or she was or is enlisted, appointed, or called up for service with (or, in the case of a female, with any service forming part of) the said Forces." * 45 V.
