AN ORDINANCE

Relating to Legal Practitioners.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under

the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910-1973.

LEGAL PRACTITIONERS ORDINANCE (No. 4) 1975

1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Legal Practitioners

Ordinance (No. 4) 1975.*
(2 ) The Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1970-1974,f as amended by the Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1975$ and the Legal Practitioners Ordinance (No. 3) 1975,§ is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.
(3 ) Section 1 of the Legal Practitioners Ordinance (No. 3) 1975 is amended by omitting sub-section (3 ) .

(4 ) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may be cited as the Legal Practitioners Ordinance 1970-1975.

2. Section 6L of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting the word and figures " 1 January 1 9 7 6 " and substituting the word and figures " 1 July 1976" .

3. Section 5 of the Legal Practitioners Ordinance (No. 3) 1975 is amended by omitting sub-section ( 4 ) .

4. On and after 1 July 1976, the Interpretation Ordinance 1967- 1975 has effect in relation to the provisions of Part ID of the Principal Ordinance as amended by this Ordinance as if those provisions had been repealed on that day by an Ordinance.
