An Ordinance to amend the Legal Practitioners

Ordinance (No. 2) 1970.

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Legal Practitioners

Ordinance (No. 3) 1970.*
(2.) The Legal Practitioners Ordinance (No. 2) 1970f is in this Ordinance referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance, may

be cited as the Legal Practitioners Ordinances 1970.

2. Section 6 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting the definition of " barrister and solicitor " and inserting in its stead the following definition:—

" ' barrister and solicitor ' means a person who is entitled, under

sub-section (1.) of section 55D of the Judiciary Act 1903-

1969, to practise as a barrister and solicitor in the
Territory;".

3. Section 28 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting the words "as a barrister and solicitor ".
