TRUST.

No. 60 of 1969.

AN ACT to amend the Legal Contribution

Trust Act, 1967.

[Assented to 29th September, 1969.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Legal 23:irlatjitm,

Contribution Trust Act Amendment Act, 1969.

(2) In this Act the Legal Contribution Trust

Act, 1967 is ref erred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Legal Contribution Trust Act, 1967-1969.

Amendment

to A 9.	2. Section 9 of the principal Act is amended as to subsection (1) by adding after the word "Act", in line three of paragraph (d), the words "or any other Act".
Amendment

to s. 12. 3. Section 12 of the principal Act is amended

(a)	by adding after the section number "12." the subsection designation "(1)";
(b)	by adding after the word "regulations", in line two, the passage ", and subject to subsections (2) and (3) of this section"; and

(c) by adding subsections as follow:

(2) A person in respect of whose bank account or accounts an order, other than an order for revocation, has been made under section fifty-eight B of the Legal Practitioners Act, 1893 shall not, during the currency of the order, with- draw moneys deposited by him to the credit of the Trust unless he is author- ised to do so by a further order of a Judge.

(3) If moneys deposited by a practi- tioner to the credit of the Trust are the subject of an order made under section fifty-eight C of the Legal Practitioners Act, 1893, the Trust shall apply those moneys for the purposes of the order. .

to s. 13.	4. Section 13 of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word "withdrawal", in line one, the words "or application".
Amendment
to s. 18.	5. Section 18 of the principal Act is amended as to subsection (1) by adding after the word "operation", in line six, the passage "and for advancing money under and for the purposes of paragraph (b) of section fifty-eight D of the Legal Practitioners Act, 1893".
