Legal Aid (Statutory Officers) Regulations2

(Amendment)

I, LIONEL FROST BOWEN, the Attorney-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, in pursuance of section 8 of the Interpretation Ordinance 1967, hereby make the following Regulation under the Legal Aid Ordinance 1977.

Regulation 2 of the Legal Aid (Statutory Officers) Regulations is repealed and the following regulations are substituted:

Chief Executive Officer—remuneration and allowances
"2. (1) The Chief Executive Officer shall be paid remuneration at such rate as is equal to the rate of remuneration that was payable to the Director of Legal Aid immediately before the commencement of this regulation.
"(2) The Chief Executive Officer shall be paid allowances that are the same as the allowances that were payable to the Director of Legal Aid immediately before the commencement of this regulation.
Assistant Executive Officers—remuneration and allowances

"3. (1) An Assistant Executive Officer shall be paid remuneration at such rate as is equal to the rate of remuneration that was payable to an Assistant Director of Legal Aid immediately before the commencement of this regulation.

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

"(2) An Assistant Executive Officer shall be paid allowances that are the same as the allowances that were payable to an Assistant Director of Legal Aid immediately before the commencement of this regulation.".
