LEGAL AID COMMISSION AMENDMENT ACT 1997 No 50—

PROCLAMATION

(L.S.) GORDON SAMUELS, Governor.

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 (1) of the Legal Aid Commission Amendment Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 25 July 1997 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act (except for Schedule 1 [l] and the part of Schedule 1 [11] that inserts clause 50 (3) and (4)) commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this proclamation is to commence the uncommenced provisions of the Legal Aid Commission Amendment Act 1997, other than those relating to the office of certain Legal Aid Commissioners.
