AN ACT to amend the Legal Aid Commission

Act, 1976-1977.

[Assented to 15th May, 1978.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Legal Aid Short title and citation.

Commission Act Amendment Act, 1978.

(2) In this Act the Legal Aid Commission Act,

1976-1977 is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Legal Aid Commission Act,

1976-1978.

Section 8 2.

Subsection (1) of section 8 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the word "it" in the last line, and substituting the word "is".

Section 18

Subsection (3) of section 18 of the principal Act is amended by adding after the word "employ- ment" in the last line of paragraph (e) the words "without the approval of the Commission".

Section 50 4.

Section 50 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the subsection designation "(7)" in line one of the subsection that was added as subsection (7) by section 24 of Act No. 60 of 1977, and substi- tuting the subsection designation "(6a)".
