AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Leases Ordinance 1918-1937.

* BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the

Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910-1947, as follows:—

1.—(1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Leases Ordinance short title a n ( l citation.

(2.) The Leases Ordinance 1918-1937f is in this Ordinance

referred to a.s the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance as amended by this Ordinance,

may be cited as the Leases Ordinance 1918-1935.

2. Section three of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Grant of leases.

omitting the words ", not exceeding twenty-five years,''.

3 . Section three AB of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Reduction of

omitting from sub-section (3.) all the words after the words r from conditions.
" approved by the Minister ".

4. Section three A of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Surveyfees.

omitting from sub-section (2.) the words "signed by the Secretary

to the Department of the Interior,".
