OF GOVERNMENT.

No. 29 of 1936.

AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Leases Ordinance 1918-1933, and for

other purposes.

BE it ordained by the Deputy of the Governor-General in and Federal Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred over the Commonwealth of Australia, with the advice of the by the Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909 and the Seat of
Government {Administration) Act 1910-1933, as follows:—

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Leases Ordinance short title

(2.) The Leases Ordinance 1918-1933 is in this Ordinance

referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance,

may be cited as the Leases Ordinance 1918-1936.

2. This Ordinance shall commence on a date to be fixed by the commencement.

Minister by notice in the Gazette.

3. Section three of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Period of

inserting, after the word " Regulations ", the words " and the Ljand
Valuation Ordinance 1936 ".

4.   Section three AA of the Principal Ordinance is amended—Effect to be

(a) by omitting from sub-section (1.) the words " the pro- derisions of visions of this section," and inserting in their stead coSrt.Valuatl°"

the words " any variation made in pursuance of the Land Valuation Ordinance 1936, the rate as so determined " ; and

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

{b) by omitting sub-sections (3.), (4.), (4A.) and (5.).

5. Section four of the Leases Ordinance 1933, as amended by Validation

the Leases Ordinance (No, 2) 1933, is amended— determinations.

(a) by omitting the proviso to sub-section (1.) ; and

(b) by omitting sub-sections (2.), (2A.) and (3.).
