Leases Act 1919 (ACT)

No. 7 of 1919.
AN ORDINANCE
To amend the Leases Ordinance 1918.
E it ordained by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth
of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Executive Council,
in pursuance of the powers conferred by the tieat oj Government
Acceptance Act 1909 and the Seat of Government {Administration)
Act 1910, as follows :—
1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Leases Ordinance short titieana

(2.) The Leases Ordinance 1918, as amended by this Ordinance,
may be cited as the Leases Ordinance 19L8-1919.
| 2. Section three of the Leases Ordinance 1918 is amended— | period and |

(a) by inserting before the word "Leases the words leases.
" Subject to this Ordinance and the Regulations" ; and
(b) by omitting the words "are prescribed " and inserting
in their stead the words " the Minister determines".
3 . After section four of the Leases Ordinance 1918 the following
section is inserted :—

" (2. Lessees of adjoining lands shall contribute in equal proportions to the construction of dividing fences between those lands.

" (3.) Upon the failure of any lessee to comply with the requirements of this section within such period as is specified by the Minister by notice in writing served upon the lessee the Minister may determine the lease ".
