Laying Chicken Levy Regulations 2(Amendment)

  

I, THE ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council and after taking into consideration the recommendation with respect to the amount to be prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 7 (b) of the Laying Chicken Levy Act 1988 made to the Minister of State for Primary Industries and Energy by the members of the Exotic Animal Disease Preparedness Consultative Council (being the Council established by the Exotic Animal Disease Control Act 1989) nominated by the National Farmers’ Federation, make the following Regulations under the Laying Chicken Levy Act 1988.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 July 1991.

 

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Laying Chicken Levy Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 3 (Prescribed amount)

3.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Prescribed amounts

“3.

(1)  For the purposes of paragraph 7 (a) of the Act, the amount of 5.75 cents is prescribed.

“(2)

For the purposes of paragraph 7 (b) of the Act, the amount of 0.25 cent is prescribed.”.
