Laying Chicken Levy Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, WILLIAM PATRICK DEANE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Laying Chicken Levy Act 1988.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 July 1998, immediately after regulation 4 of Statutory Rules 1997 No. 164 commences.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Laying Chicken Levy Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 3 (Prescribed rates of levy)

3.1   Add at the end of the regulation:

 “(2)For paragraph 7 (b) of the Act, 0.27 cents is prescribed.”.

Note The second Note that followed regulation 3 of the Laying Chicken Levy Regulations should be omitted, and the following Note substituted after subregulation 3 (2):

“Note   The levy mentioned in subregulation (2) is to fund the Australian Animal Health Council Limited.”.
