Application for approval of the Lawnton Kindergarten Preschool Association Inc. Early Childhood Enterprise Agreement 2020.
An application has been made for approval of an enterprise agreement known as the Lawnton Kindergarten Preschool Association Inc. Early Childhood Enterprise Agreement 2020 (the Agreement). The application was made pursuant to s.185 of the Fair Work Act 2009 (the Act). It has been made by Lawnton Kindergarten Preschool Association Inc (the Employer). The Agreement is a single enterprise agreement.
Having regard to all the material filed in the Fair Work Commission, I am satisfied that each of the requirements of ss. 186, 187 and 188 of the Act as are relevant to this application for approval has been met.
Mr Paul Giles, Assistant Secretary/Treasurer of the Independent Education Union – Queensland and Northern Territory Branch (IEU-NTB), filed a Form F18 statutory declaration declaring the IEU-NTB was a bargaining representative for the Agreement and has given notice under s.183 of the Act that it wants the Agreement to cover it. In accordance with s.201(1) of the Act, I note the Agreement covers that organisation.
The Agreement is approved and, in accordance with s.54 of the Act, will operate from 9 September 2020. The nominal expiry date of the Agreement is 31 December 2023.
