Law Society Amendment By-laws 1997

The Council of the Law Society of Tasmania makes the following by-laws under the Legal Profession Act 1993 .

1Short titleThese by-laws may be cited as the Law Society Amendment By-laws 1997 . 2CommencementThese by-laws take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal By-lawsIn these by-laws, the Law Society By-laws 1994 are referred to as the Principal By-laws. 4Schedule 2 amended (Fees)Schedule 2 to the Principal By-laws is amended as follows: (a) by omitting from item 1 "325" and substituting "575"; (b) by omitting from item 1(a) "815" and substituting "1065"; (c) by omitting from item 1(b) "570" and substituting "820"; (d) by omitting from item 2(a) "325" and substituting "575"; (e) by omitting from item 2(a) "695" and substituting "945".

These by-laws were made by the Council of the Law Society of Tasmania at a meeting held on 29 November 1997.

The common seal of the Law Society of Tasmania was affixed on 1 December 1997, in the presence of –
