No. IX.

An Act for amending the Law relative to Larceny

by Carriers and other Bailees. [27tli August,
1858.]

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Law relative to Larceny Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the by Carriers and other Bailees Be it enacted by the Queen's

1. If any person being a Bailee of goods or chattels shall with intent to defraud convert such goods or chattels or any part thereof to his own use or the use of any person other than the owner thereof he shall be guilty of larceny.

2. The Act fourteenth Victoria number six intituled " An Act to prevent frauds by Gamers and Drovers" is hereby repealed except so far as relates to any offence against the provisions of that Act com­ mitted before the passing of the present Act.
